"what is a weed."

"what is a weed" is inspired by a photo i happened to discover on pinterest, originally captured by an unknown photographer. what incited me to transform it into a collection of paint strokes on canvas was its monochromatic scheme. black and white, lights and shadows, this painting captures the very idea of "simple is beautiful", with it's minimal colour scheme and rigid brush strokes. "what is weed" reminds the viewer that beauty and success does not always come from complexity and chaos. often, it's the ordinary moments in life that radiate the most of awe and wonder.
