the "reading girl" savors a novel behind the window of a moving train. she is forever stuck in a time of victorian elegance. her yellow dress is of shining satin, and her hair is held up with delicate, pink ribbons. my love for reading has been incorporated within each paint stroke. sometimes, i like to envision myself as the "reading girl", sitting on a train to a place beyond the world entire. for clarity, the painting is inspired by jean-honore fragonard's "a young girl reading."  

each painting will come with a certificate of authenticity, a hand written letter, as well as a gift of appreciation.
